Description: Kevlar is a ballistic fabric with exceptionally high resistance
to perforation. Due to its lightweight and mechanical
properties is ideal to be used as containment material in
jet engines. Often several layers of fabric are used to offer
adequate protection to perforation from projectiles.
The material model developed by Arizona State University (ASU)
has the capability of modeling multiple layers of Kevlar fabric
using multiple fabric plies in a single shell element.
The advantage of this approach is reduced computational time
                 (fewer element and contact calculations).
